Datapipe's "Elastic Private Network" (EPN) provides the capability to carve out a private, isolated portion of your Stratosphere cloud for your particular needs and requirements.  Within EPN, you can build and launch your compute resources on a virtual network that you define. The virtual network you define can more closely resemble traditional networks similar to what you may now have in your own datacenter. You have complete control over this environment, including selection of your own IP address ranges and configuration of routing and port forwarding rules.

Customizing your EPN network configuration is simple and very flexible. With a few mouse clicks, you can create a public-facing subnet for your webservers that has access to the Internet, and position your application or database systems on private subnets that cannot be addressed from the Internet. This adds additional layers of security to protect and control access to your Stratosphere resources.

To afford ease of access for management and support of your resources, EPN allows you to create a virtual private network (VPN), connecting your corporate datacenter to your Stratosphere EPN environment, making those resources appear as an extension of your corporate datacenter.
